Paillard was the patent inventor of the Sublime Harmonie music comb tuning arrangement. The present example has 2 combs with identical notes tuned on the teeth of both music combs. A skilled tune arranger can then play the same notes on both combs at the same time to create a melody with a rich and deep harmony that is quite pleasing to the ear. This example is housed in a restored 4 - way matched French Walnut case with cylinder storage drawer to hold 3 extra 13" x 2 3/8" nickel plated 6 tune cylinders. The original tune card is present and lists all 18 classical and dance airs. Mechanisms have double mainsprings, tune indicator and have been fully restored. 37" x 15" x 12"
